Tips to Avoid Waking Up on the Wrong Side of the Bed

November 6, 2019 Corey

When you wake up on the wrong side of the bed, it means that you don’t feel well. You seem irritated and you already feel stressed out in the first hour in the morning. It might affect your work and how you deal with other people in the office. You don’t want people to see you this way as it could adversely impact your image. Your colleagues might also be afraid of working with you. Remember these tips, so you will feel great as soon as you wake up.

Have a nice bath before you sleep

It’s important for you to feel good before you go to sleep at night. It helps if you can take a hot shower or dip your body in a hot tub. You will feel relaxed and be in the mood to sleep. It won’t take much time before you can finally rest. Invest in quality bath essentials and use them at home. Bath tubs, for instance, might be expensive, but they will last long. You can enjoy nice hot steam showers or baths for several years.

Don’t sleep late

The number of hours you have for sleep could affect how you feel when you wake up. It’s important for you to get enough sleep; at least 7-8 hours. You don’t even have to turn the alarm on since it’s not good for your body. Your natural body cycle will wake you up in the morning and also tell you to sleep on time. You have to keep following it even at weekends, so you won’t have a hard time maintaining the cycle.

Watch something funny on your phone

The last thing that you need to see is something that brings joy to your heart. Find light-hearted videos so that you can remember those wonderful images as you start to sleep. Just make sure you stop using your phone at least two hours before you sleep.

Write everything great that happened to you

Keep reminding yourself about the good things in life. Before you go to bed, you should write the things you’re thankful for. You want to remember these things even if you had a terrible day; these are still small, but positive moments. Sometimes, when you feel overwhelmed by terrible things, you forget that there are good things too.

You can’t let negative emotions affect you before you sleep since it will also affect you when you wake up. Forget all these problems and face them the next day. You have the entire day to deal with people who stress you out. You can also finish your tasks during the day. For now, remember only the good things and have a good rest. It’s also easier for you to solve these issues if you don’t wake up on the wrong side of the bed.

If you always feel cranky as soon as you wake up, you have to do something about it.
