A successful digital marketing team is the key to any successful business, and the field is dynamic and constantly changing. For example, at this point, mobile marketing accounts for more than 70% of ads. Not only that, but there are billions of social media users, who see hundreds of ads every day. In this day and age, having an expert digital marketing team can mean the difference between a business’s success and failure. David Pascht is one marketing expert who knows the importance of leading a digital marketing team. Pascht, a digital marketing pro and crypto enthusiast, is sharing some of his insight into how he leads his digital marketing team.
Pascht: Like I shared in my most recent interview with FeedYes.com, I’m a digital marketing fanatic, to be honest. As an entrepreneur, I see the world of digital marketing as one that is full of untapped potential. Digital marketing has the power to literally transform businesses and transform lives. Learning how to take advantage of this field is no small undertaking. I’m passionate about sharing my skills and love for digital marketing with other entrepreneurs.
What digital marketing platforms are most important?
Pascht: In 2020, there’s only one answer to that question: it’s the social media platforms. Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter all hold massive potential for digital marketing. The tricky thing is, you have to be adept at using each specific platform. While they can be similar, digital marketing is not one-size-fits-all. You have to become a master in every category, if you really want to find financial success in the world of digital marketing.
How do you lead your digital marketing team?
Pascht: My ethos has always been to lead by example. Staying ahead of the curve when it comes to trends and new skills is my passion and specialty. But I’m also sure to communicate clearly and treat my team as equals. When we sit down to brainstorm, any one of us could come up with the next big idea. That’s the beautiful thing about digital marketing, it’s a creative playground. You never know who will have the next breakthrough. That’s why it’s crucial to treat everyone with respect and make room at the table for all ideas.
Do you have any tips for other digital marketing leaders?
Pascht: Like I mentioned, I really think it’s crucial to make space for everyone to contribute ideas. Just because you’re leading the team, doesn’t mean you’re always right, or that you’ll have all the answers. Turn to your team for support, and if you’re having a creative blockage. Plus, you have to be accountable for your actions. That goes for things that go well, and things that go poorly. It’s bound to happen as a digital marketing team leader, there are going to be times when ideas are successes, and when they need to be fleshed out more. Take accountability, no matter how your plan turns out, and it will encourage your team to follow your lead.
What are some digital marketing trends you’re keeping an eye on?
Pascht: My team and I are really focused on mobile-first content at the moment. You’re really seeing social media leads turn into business, thanks to the power of mobile ads and social influencers. My team is really focused on how we can take advantage of this huge market, as it increases in popularity.
