To dive into this topic, we sat down with Nimrod Santo, a digital marketer and business development expert. Here gave us some of his insider tips, and business development secrets, in this exclusive interview.
Nimrod, tell us about your business background.
I wear a lot of different hats. I’m a direct-response marketer and digital entrepreneur, and I’m a cryptocurrency fanatic. I’ve learned a ton over the years while working in these fields, and it definitely hasn’t always been easy.
When you’re working in business, it can be tough to stay motivated when challenges arise. That’s why now, I want to help others who want to achieve their business goals.
What is one thing you use to keep yourself motivated when it comes to business?
It may not seem related, but I love to travel, and I think travel is actually crucial for business, especially business creativity. I think travel inspires business creativity, it really helps you think on your feet, and stay inspired by experiencing new things.
What are some of your main business traffic sources?
The answer to this question is always changing, and it’s important to stay ahead of the curve and monitor traffic trends. You don’t want to get left behind and be pouring your resources into the wrong traffic funnels.
The most valuable traffic sources for any site are the ones that attract visitors who convert. Certain social media channels are huge right now, as is organic search, which is why it’s critical to know how to tap into SEO, and make sure your business has an excellent web presence.
What are some of your business development secrets?
Scaling a business is no small undertaking. Firstly, you’re probably going to need some capital to actually scale your business, and that is very important to figure out, and secure ahead of time. You don’t want to run out of money mid-project.
Secondly, the relationships you develop will carry you far. Nurture your relationships with different people in your industry, who may be able to help you or collaborate with you down the line. Next, make sure you are utilizing the latest technologies for your industry, or at least some of the most crucial ones.
It may not always be possible to have everything you need but investing in some of the best technologies will go a long way, and ensure you’re setting a strong infrastructure foundation. And lastly, make sure you nail your digital marketing voice and technique. It’s one of the most important tools in your arsenal and can really make or break your business.
What are some challenges entrepreneurs say?
Entrepreneurship is definitely not for everyone, because entrepreneurs need to be self-motivated and self-starters. Also, it can be disheartening if you set unrealistic expectations.
So really, being an entrepreneur means walking this fine line between dreaming big, but also knowing how to manage your expectations and deal with curveballs. But that being said, if you can persevere through those challenges, you have an excellent chance of making it as an entrepreneur.
